Today Gold Rate in Riyadh

Riyadh is the largest gold market in Saudi Arabia. Shops are spread between traditional souqs in the city centre such as Al Batha and Al Thumairi, and malls in the north such as Taiba Market. The raw gram price is the same as everywhere in the Kingdom, but the number of competing shops in the traditional souqs gives buyers more room to negotiate the making charge.

For the lowest making charges start with the traditional souqs and compare several shops; for brands, modern designs and warranties the malls are the better choice. Many people sell used gold in Al Thumairi and Al Batha because there are many buyers there.

Famous gold markets – Riyadh

• Taiba Market — one of the oldest malls in north Riyadh on King Fahd Road, with a large gold section alongside abayas and traditional clothing
• Al Batha Gold Market — on Abi Ayoub Al-Ansari Street in Al Dirah, central Riyadh; known for varied designs and competitive making charges, usually open from morning until around 11 pm
• Souq Al Thumairi — a heritage souq in Al Dirah along Thumairi Street near Qasr Al Hukm, known for gold and jewellery shops, buying and selling second-hand gold and antiques
• Modern malls — branded jewellery showrooms in the large malls of north Riyadh for modern designs and warranties
